For a Good Cause: Survive on 35!
![]()
A team of FitFluential Ambassadors are partaking in the #Surviveon35 campaign. In this challenge 10 bloggers have been challenge to eat healthy for week on only $35 dollars (a food stamp budget). This challenge was created by the founders of Anytime Fitness, Chuck Runyon and Dave Mortensen based on their experience on the TV show Secret Millionaire.
Runyon and Mortensen challenged these 10 bloggers to survive on $35 and share their meals to help show people, who are on a limited income, that it is possible to eat well on a budget.
This is definitely a great cause ESPECIALLY if you guys watched Extreme Makeover: Weight Loss Edition last Sunday where the woman, Nyla, complained the whole time she could only afford Ramen on her tight budget. This program is teaching and helping anyone with limited funds like Nyla, who thinks it can’t be done, make it possible!
I believe this is great for adults who are struggling but also college kids on a tight budget and high school students who aren’t happy with unhealthy choices their families are making. This is how to eat healthy with little money and let’s be real, who doesn’t love that? I would love to save some cash on my weekly trip to the grocery store!
With this challenge Anytime Fitness is trying to raise $10,000 for Cooking Matters, an organization that teaches low-income families to prepare healthy affordable meals! Check them out at the following link and help them out! A little love goes a long way! :)
