I am FitFluential and I am just like…

ridiculously, beside myself,excited!!!
Seriously, this summer feels like a little kid summer. When I was little, summer was an endless, magical time when anything was possible and always held so much potential. Mainly, I was hoping for a summer love but now that I’m married, I’m sure that wouldn’t go over too well. So to avoid any TomKat drama, I want to focus on another summer love, Fitfluential!
Well, it is more than a summer love, it is the whole reason I started blogging in the first place! I was casually on Twitter mainly to keep up with some of my friends and celebrity stalk but I eventually, through many connections, stumbled upon a couple of girl fitness blogs who happened to have a Fitfluential tie. I paid attention to the connection and kept it in the back of my brain for a later time.
As time went on, I slowly morphed my journey from weight loss to becoming fit and strong, and I decided to change up my 100% cardio routine. I began weightlifting and started kickboxing. In class we talked a lot of martial arts but also a lot of basic conditioning. We use a lot of CrossFit exercises (too many burpees for my taste) and I slowly started to keep an eye on more Crossfit posts on Twitter. Then one day I saw the group of Fitfluential girls at Reebok Headquarters (which my husband passes everyday to go to his caramel filled heaven Dunkin Brand Headquarters, where he chugs caramel and apparently does something with IT security…he doesn’t stop at Reebok) on Twitter and my head just exploded. These girls were working hard, kipping pull-ups and just dominating the workouts! I said this is it, this is what I want to do and who I want to be. I have to be Fitfluential!
I wanted to not only workout like these girls, I want to be like them. I want people to see me on the bar, pulling my body weight and go, “Whoa, I’m going to work my butt off to do that!” “I can do that!” I want to help others lose weight, feel great, and feel empowered. I want to show them that it is possible to be healthy and still have fun regardless of time obligations to work, family, and friends. I want mom’s to remember themselves and the fact that their health is important too because they are setting an example for their kids! That is why I started blogging. I love fitness and am so excited to share my passion with more and more people.
I am so happy and honored to be a part of this group, I can’t wait for all the fun to begin!!!!
